Thursday, December 24, 2009 // Happy New Year and all that!
Hey Everyone, peeps and meeps! The new year, 20210 is just around the corner, and we are currently making predictions for the future. Of course it's always more fun to predict funny stuff, so send your predictions to gabby@gabbylala.com and the cutest and funniest prediction will win a special prize from Kit'N'Tenders! Speaking of Kit'N'Tenders, look for us invading your sound spaces in a majorly kittenish way starting December 30 and 31! YES, a hyper-show at Mama Buzz and then a super-fab show at The Fillmore on New Years Eve! That is always a good way to start a new year:) Kittens have been working on new songs and creating crafty visuals for 2010, so come out to a show and support your favorite felines! (that means us:) hahaha

Hey everyone, NEWS FLASH!!!! I had to cancel the Cafe Azul gig because they don't have any PA or mics or anything except coffee and WIFI! We are already playing an all ages show the next night, so I decided not to stress myself out by playing the night before. Confusing maybe, smart, yes! I am wondering if anyone heard me on the radio last night before the Odd Fellows Hall gig. I called in for an interview and Arnoldo was soooo nice and didn't make fun of me at all. We had a lovely chat and some laughs and it helped to pass the time as I drove with The Ukulady to Sebastopol. Zach did live MPC drumming and some real percussion as well...I played my sitar and jammed out. It was cool. I keep forgetting that I hide my mizrabs when I fly and then when I get to the next show, I don't have a pick! Luckily I am pretty crafty and I bent a bobby pin into a make-shift mizrab. I think I chipped by bottom tooth though:( It is a little rough. After the show, we hung out with my Pirate friends Gabe and Sophie and listened to the next band. She was actually solo, so I guess I should say the girl who played after me. She is called Tisha. Maybe she'll come to the Phoenix show, who knows. The Ukulady and I love pie from Humble Pie next door to the Black Cat, and Earstu and Conception Vessel One were playing there, so we high tailed it to Penngrove and feasted on a slice of Pumpkin. We were hoping for the chocolate cream, but we were lucky to get anything at all. I guess you've gotta get there pretty early to have choices. Initially, there were at least eight different types!
