This is the first video I have made from my trip to Egypt. It features The Pyramids, The Sphinx, and The Step Pyramid at Sakkara!
My mom, sister and I went with Presence of Heart to Egypt in 2007 and had an amazing time! Everyone should go and experience the mysteries. Gabby La La

Bandaversary!
Hey Y'all,
We had a great Bandaversary yesterday at Summer Fun Day! Yes, It was our Bandaversary) Zach and I have been playing together for a year now, and our first gig was last year at the West End Celebration! What fun we have had... and how many shows I don't really know! We have played with many different bassists, and we are still bouncing around. I guess bass players are very busy? Well, we really enjoyed playing our first gig with Josh Fossgreen who played great and wore an amazing vampire cape! I like that style! I wonder if he knows about my vampire obsession. He is way into raw foods... I am way into pizza and ice cream, and Zach is way into funky beats! We saw many familiar faces at the festival including the amazing Eric McFadden and Pauli Shore's kid brother! Kazem was there too, and we all wished that he played again (like last year). Funny how music brings people together:) Gabby La La

Gabby La La with Snoop Dogg
My friend Todd sent me this video of a performance I did a long time ago. Mimi said "that is so 90's" and I agree. It was a pretty cool experience playing with Snoop and even more surreal hanging out in the bus before the show.

New PedalBoard & Michael Jackson Memorial
I got a little pedal tote! It is so much better than my old one which was soooo big and heavy. A couple of weeks ago, I was trying to streamline me gear, and in doing so, the giant pedalboard fell on my flip flopped foot!!! I had a horrible bruise and I was actually limping for a few days! Since then, I have been carrying my stuff around in a tote bag. A Possible fear of pedalboards? I decided that a smaller one would suit me better. I put my JamMan up for sale on consignment at Zone Music in Cotati and I left a few treats in the memory, so if you want to loop, you can get my old pedal for a steal! Get your butt over there stat! I'm sure I will play with looping in the future, but right now I want to focus on jammin' the sitar and creating amazing tones. The new board is angled and powered too! It just fits my Boss ME-50 and I put the foot switch and AB box on the floor. There is a pocket that holds all the cables too:) I am so happy that everything will fit in one big box! It makes my life so much easier and simpler. I had some breakthroughs yesterday too! I am finally starting to understand my effects pedal and I made a lot of new sounds which I can't wait to try out tonight at the show! I am planning a short/sweet memorial tribute to Michael Jackson for the show tonight at Aubergine, so I hope that you will bring your moonwalk shoes and perhaps a glove:) Gabby La La

Final Rockage Show!
Today we had our big show at the Phoenix! It was truly inspiring and tons of fun:) I was so proud of all the FemmeRockers. I wish you could have been there to see their performances and the support from friends and family. There were so many cameras going off, I thought that someone famous must be in the house. Each band designed their own logo for our T-Shirts and we had buttons too! Yes, this session will go down in history as the one that started it all. Here are some photos from our last day of camp and our show! Gabby La La

FemmeRockage Showcase! 12 Noon tomorrow!
Tomorrow is the last day of the first session of "FemmeRockage Camp" at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. There will be a showcase of the three bands which formed during our two week intensive course. The bands are called "Lipstik Propha-C" "Who Knows?" and "Dinosaur Brigade." The Showcase is open to the public and is FREE! The event will begin at 12 noon at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma. The girls have come a really long way since the first day and I am super proud of them. When they first walked in the door, I heard many doubts and fears and their musicianship was unsure. Now, I see confidence and maturity in their playing and listening. They have supported each other throughout the process and have benefited greatly. My greatest hope is that they keep playing together, forming new groups, writing original music and teaching each other what they have learned. They are truly an inspiration to girls everywhere who want to "ROCK!"
-You go girls! Gabby La La
